Arepas with Pernil Asado Boricua

Ingredients

  • 8 lbs. Pork
  • Oregano, salt, garlic powder, black pepper and sugar to taste.

Directions

The day before, marinate the pork with oregano, salt, garlic powder, black pepper and sugar on each side of the pork. Refrigerate for one day. Next day, put the pork into the oven at 450 degrees for the first 30 minutes. Then reduce temperature to 350 and let cook 2 pounds per hour, always uncovered! Make your arepas as you always do, and when they are ready, split them open and stuff with Pernil Asado Boricua! You can also add sliced tomatoes if you like.
